every outdoorsman(woman) has gear/brand/items that no matter what.

my short list would be my R.A.T. Boots that were factory seconds (my preference of vibram soles, and stitch down soles). Gore-Tex Everything...including my gaiters. ESEE izula on my hip and my Tilley hat for long stretches in the sun and in rain.

what stuff do you use when going out of the house?

Yeah, I have some Darn tough and they probably last longer than Smartwool or Feetures, but they aren't as comfortable as the previously mentioned two. For running, Smartwool and Feetures win all day, for everyday socks Darn Tough will last longer.

Agreed. Though I don't run. My sister does and prefers the darn tough's (cuz she lives in Colorado

Yes. Haven't used one yet, but Jake had one on the shelf a few days ago. I think I'm still going to prefer the Geissele though. It allows me to rotate the upper 360° for easier access to the gas block, rail mounting screws, sights, optics, etc. I literally don't have to take it off the rod during the entire assembly. The BEV block only allows the upper to sit in the upright position.

I had them for 15 years before they finally went tits up. I stopped tracking miles after 1200. They spent a week and a half in new Mexico back packing, all the AT between GA and Virginia, and plenty of hunting trips and yard work.

Yeah I have narrow feet so it works out. I need to buy another pair but they ain't cheap. Probably get them for my birthday this year.

Another vote for 5.11 pants, TacLite pros are the best work pants I've ever had.

For boots, Timberland pro safety toe have been the most comfortable and longest lasting, just don't like the price :(
