I'd've thought about it, if I had ay x39. Or any mags. Or it was set up for an optic (or some kind of raised sights).

I'm not an expert by any means or stretch of the imagination but I did a little reading about ballistics when I was going to build a bolt gun. 5.56 SBRs aren't really that effective, or good for suppressors.

5.56 when going short barrel gets close to 22mag velocity and at that point it’s wasted noise and money especially in a bolt gun. Subsonic? Well there’s 22lr Aguila SSS 60gr so why bother?
I was talking about how 7.62x39 doesn't have a substantial degradation in muzzle velocity compared to 5.56x45. Really more of a comment about x39
