Trump was a Kardashian. He was what we needed at the moment but he was never more than just a figure. What is real is the movement. The people want America First. He was the first one to say it. He will be missed pretty soon by those that hated him.
Just a 2.0 of "the tea party movement". (Not "The Tea Party", it was never about a "Party". The name of the original made it too easy to hijack, since it had the word party in it.)
Same basic premise, just driven by a Kardashian. Anyone who expected anything different didn't know Trumpdashian. (I grew up in South Jersey and around Philly. I've known about him since the 70s. He's always been the same. I'm just surprised he didn't name more things after himself. Probably not from lack of trying.)
He's also not the type to retire quietly into that good night. Haters will still have him to hate, and to blame. If he goes back to sticking to the "America" themes, he might (MIGHT) made a useful opposition figure. But not without more of the garbage.
If he were smart (something no one has ever claimed), he'd act the egotist opposition and groom Ivanka to be a leader.
