KYGunco has a few for sale, unless they're sold out already. I think they were $6500ish.

I didn't know they were out for sale yet. And I'm really surprised that I got that close with my guess! ;)
They were on their 4th of July flier, I'm not 100% positive on the price, but it's close.

Who in their right mind would pay 6500 for a semi auto SAW lookalike? That's craziness.

Someone that makes a good living and likes the SAW. Cost is relative.

Oh well you are all in for a free one.

Personally I would like to have one. But I will probably never fork the money over for it. Seriously that is like 9 AR platforms.

NO ONE On active duty wants a 249... It's heavy, a pain in the ass to carry, gets dirty as hell, and a pain in the ass to clean. I sure as hell don't see any reason to have a semi only version. For the kind of money they are asking, I'd get a Barrett .50 cal semi sniper rifle. Oh BTW 249's chew up brass really bad, so forget reloading most of your brass that you fire out of that rifle.

No one should put the word "Sniper" in the same sentence as "Barrett". None are accurate enough to be a Sniper rifle. We were issued the M82A1 when I was a Scout/Sniper in the Corps.....it was an anti-material rifle, as in LARGE material. The Brit SAS used them during Desert Storm to take out SCUD missile launchers They shot the armored control boxes, which were quite large, to disable the launchers.

The M107 is better, but still ain't there.

The M249 SAW is an outstanding light infantry weapon. Before I was a S/S I was a SAWgunner. Loved it. Didn't mind the weight, but 18lbs shouldn't be an issue for a 17-20YOA grunt. Rugged and extremely reliable, I had no issues with mine. Was 100% reliable with belts and mags, live ammo and blanks. Drug it through the mud of the Squad Leaders Course in NTA in Okinawa and ran perfectly during the test-fire at the end.

I notice that Marines commonly talk about what a great weapon the SAW is, while the Army dogs it. Makes me wonder why Big Green can't keep their SAW's running......
