Anyone know of a dealer that does transfers for a decent fee or free? Just spoke with Trading Place in monroe and the guy on the phone said "I believe it's 25.00 dollars each". That's crazy, so for two lowers I'd be paying 50 bucks.

Contact David at ClassicCityFirearms.com in Athens if it's not too far. I think he charges $5 per form, not per weapon. I've transferred 5 lowers for $5 before.

I've used David multiple times, I just hate the drive. Usually he's free because I'll end up buying something from him.

Try Deatons off of 78. It's been a while since I've been there but when I lived near there I had several guns transferred there after a black Friday sale and they charged me a flat $25 for all 3.

They're good guys & it's a nice, clean little store. I'd love to see them price guns more competitively. If they did, they'd be my go-to shop.

That's what always kept me from buying guns from them. I think the only gun i ever bought from them was a WASR 10/63. They used to have a pretty decent Gunsmith up there though. I want to say his name was Dusty but I could be wrong. It's been several years.
