Eotech Recall/refund

I've got an Eotech 552 that is part of the recall, I'm a bit hesitant to send it in though. Part of me likes this optic bit another part of me is pretty pissed off at how L3 deceived the L.E. and Military community, has anybody that owns one sent theirs in and received a refund as of yet? Lots of threads on the net and AR-15 forums but having a hard time sending in a $550+ optic in on just an email confirmation of ya get my drift (no Eotech pun intended)

I've seen reports out there that refunds are indeed being sent. You can probably find a nice optic for that amount maybe something like a vortex?
