ya shoot the gun before you carry so you know how it kicks and practice.
Not only that. You also need to practice the draw from all positions. I keep snap caps in them and draw from sitting and standing, sometimes I carry IWB with my shirt tucked. Practice practice practice.

That's a nifty holster for your G42. How well does it conceal? I always have a problem with the outline when I pocket carry. That's why I usually carry IWB with my @Leshaire custom carry. :D

TBH the concealment is pretty mediocre. I've been meaning to get something better. Really looking for something that conceals well without adding bulk because the G42 fits in my pockets fine, but not so much with a big soft pocket holster like a Desantis nemesis or something.

I'm digging that wallet. I like that 360J too. My next J-frame is going to have a black finish. Preferably a .357.

If you can find a deal on a 360j get that and then buy a .357 cylinder. It's the same gun as the 360PD but with a .38 spl and half the price. So, $450 + $100 is a lot cheaper than the $1000 360PD

I didn't know you could do that. Definitely gonna look into that!

Yeah you may want to add another $100 for a gunsmith to fit and prime the cylinder if you are not comfortable with doing it yourself. $650 for a 360PD is still cheaper than $1000.

I use to carry a a Smith and Wesson model 38. I loved everything about it aside from the fact that I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with it if I were locked inside.

J frames do have pretty awful factory triggers. That's kinda why I like my LCR so much. It has a better factory trigger than even the best modified j frame trigger that I've ever felt. And I don't have to worry about light strikes that come along with most modified j frame triggers.

That's the whole reason I only carry hammered. I shot so many rounds through a single action is just second nature to cock a revolver.

This is the reason why I moved to the Shield.. haha

The 360j was originally a project gun. I wanted to eventually convert it to a 9mm. I might keep it in my collection just in case the girlfriend decides to ever want to shoot. It'll be easier to reload.

Strangely, I want another model 38.
