I see people all the time with some scopes and red dots on their hand guns. Just wondering if anyone here has tried it and how it worked out, I usually just stick to the iron sights myself.
I've seen that myself at the conservation club range, I like my holographic sights on my AR platforms but never tried it on a pistol, kinda always stuck to fiber sights, I'm curious to see what others think as well
I just dropped some Testors fluorescent orange paint on my front sight. The contrast with the rear white dots helps my eyes pick it up a little quicker.

Same here. I've done it to my Glock and Ruger. The xD came with a fiber optic front site so that ones good.
I used to run an XD9 with the slide milled for a Leupold Deltapoint with cowitnessed irons (work done by Bowie Tactical Concepts). It worked great! It takes a while to get used to it as it gives the appearance of magnifying the wabble of the gun, even though the gun isn't moving any more than when using irons. I will say that you can't beat it in low light conditions!! Switched to Glock and have dropped the coin to have it done to my 19.
