Its a shame that companies let rings that far out of true get out the door

CenterPoint rings are cheap and Chinese made.
Yeah, I'm gonna order one of those rails reservoirdawg10 told me about. Then I'll see if I can get a set of good rings. Maybe Vortex. Unless @cmshoot tells me different. Then I'll get whatever he suggests.Looking forward to seeing you get it making small clovers at 100. Just a minor setback is all
I'm going to order the rings probably tomorrow or Friday and I'm going to the CMP at Talladega next weekend. So hopefully we can see what this thing will do. I'm going to try to take some good measurements tonight for an accurate height. I think the Talley rings that @cmshoot told me about will probably be the best choice.Dang, sorry to hear about your range visit Saturday!
Looking forward to the next one, though.
Looking forward to it. I just saw a 455 with TB next door got me thinking I need it hahaHopefully @Red Dawn and I will have a chance to zero the 455 AND that beastly Grendel he has.
Just my bag rest I had last weekend. Thats all i have.@Rwjeter are you bringing a rifle rest or led sled
Damn! Went to the CMP yesterday with the 455. I ordered the DIP rail @ReservoirDawg10 advised me on and a set of Nikon A-series high rings because all of the rings @cmshoot told me about were still too low to clear the objective lens. I leveled everything out, followed the guidelines to a T, and am still shooting high. Way high. 10.38" at 100 yards. The range officer suggested shims, at .020" per shim. I think I'm going to contact Nikon and see if I can get them involved. Their warranty should cover it. It's a Monarch so it's not a baseline Nikon. Any other suggestions?
Just emailed Nikon. We'll see what comes of it.There is no reason for that to be shooting 10 inches high at 100. Would think scope. Have you tried putting another scope on there to see if you can get it to zero?
Hope they have good news for ya. Send it in we will inspect and replace if necessary.Just emailed Nikon. We'll see what comes of it.
That's what I'm hoping. Maybe they'll give me a newer model with the side focus since that one isn't made anymore.Hope they have good news for ya. Send it in we will inspect and replace if necessary.

Free pair of 10x42 monarch binos or maybe a rangefinder. There was A LOT of pain. I cried myself to sleep last night. That would be a sweet treat for Easter. They should take into consideration the amount of pain and suffering from frustrations incurred due to that scope too if that's the case.
