On recommendation of another member in posting pictures of some of my other collections...

Before I got into guns watches was my thing. I had upwards of 30 at one time. I'm into mechanical timepieces only, typically automatic, but also manual wind. Here's a few...

...nice collection. I have only one mechanical timepiece (WWII Hamilton 4992B ), given to me by an uncle who carried it during WWII and an cherished keepsake. It was originally issued to the Army Air Corps guys, but he managed to have one as a captain Army ground pounder. The thing still operates to perfection and I have it on a special stand in my home office. This is a pic I pulled from the Internet, as it is currently in another location (summer home). It'll be passed on to my boys for safe keeping when I depart this earth.

Thx for sharing.

...Rich, that was standard issue to the Air Corps and Navy, mostly aviators. I checked the serial number and it was manufactured in 1942, issued to the Air Corps. I'll take a few pics of mine next time I head west to the mountains.

I have always had a penchant for collecting guns, knives, pens and a few lighters. Pretty much only fool with knives and firearms now although I always keep an eye out for a collectable pen or lighter. Her are a few of my "prized" pens I still have. Mont Blanc, Scheffers, Cross, etc.

There are some very nice pens there. I mostly collected pens utilizing rare hardwoods. They weren't of the highest quality build, I hate twist engaged pens, but they are beautiful. Don't have any pictures on me now, but will snap some more of them, my lighters and more of my watches later and share.

I have only collected two things in my life; guns & money. I have had some success with the first one, which has greatly limited my success with the second one.

LOL. Well said. Ex-Wives, Guns, Knives, Watches and loads of antiques have added up over the years. It's all good "fun" in the game of life. A friend of mine says that in the end he who has the most toys wins. His wife smiled.

Very nice watches, BTB. However, you need a decent watchsmith, new batteries and/or lessons on the winding stem function ;D...I'll place odds on 7:41 (not sure what time zone GMT wise) being the correct time when the pics were taken.

Lol

I love my automatics! Pick it up, wind it, set the time and done. Never saw a need or use for battery powered or plug in winders to keep them wound and on time given this is so easy.
