I love the idea of a bolt action .357, but damn the suggested MSRP is $999 !!!!

I realize street price should be considerably less, but dang- I'm still not sure I want a pistol caliber bolt action that costs $700.

It's definitely what I would consider a niche product. I want one to hunt with. I want to get back into handgun hunting but still carry a rifle for if that nice 8pt comes walking out past 40-50 yards. Plus, I don't want to stock up on any more calibers than I already have. After buying a couple of .380's I remembered why I consolidated calibers a few years ago.

I consolidated calibers too- and I think that's one of the reasons I'm interested in a .357 rifle. I've half way looked at the Marlin lever guns before, but they're expensive and I don't like lever actions that much.

I could get into the bolt action pistol caliber though. I'm all set for loading .357 and .38, so no issue there.

Man, I want a pre-cross-bolt safety Marlin .357 lever gun soooooo fucking bad. They are super hard to come by and expensive as hell though. I will never own a Marlin with a cross-bolt safety. Dumbest invention ever IMO.
