What's the best buffer and spring combo for AR9's? Asking for a friend. No reallly.

Did a build years ago and used a H Buffer 5.4oz I think. I think the spring was a flat .308 spring. This info might not be 100% reliable, my brain is tired.

going with 7.7oz buffer in mine. the spring is one that came with Kak Blade. will see how it runs and may go with a 308 spring.

I used an AR10 spring with the KAK extended 9mm buffer. It’s heavier, plus it being longer doesn’t allow it to go as far back which could build up too much momentum and damage your bolt catch on the return.

There isnt a perfect setup since barrel lengths, gas systems, cans/no-can variables exist. This is the "best" that I know of, and notice its adjustable. Im running a 4", gas blowback, canned AR 9 with the buffer at 11.5oz and the extended wolf xp spring.

Running a 5-6oz buffer will beat the rifle to death...

This was my suggestion too. I don't think there is a better option out there.

8oz 9mm buffer and a 308 carbine spring in mine without any issues using a 16" barrel. Keeps recoil down and gas out of your face shooting suppressed. Runs like a top and love all ammo from 115 to 147subs.
