Anyone purchased a handgun using their CCW yet? HB 234

I'm just trying to get some feedback about the recent change that occurred in Ohio with being able to purchase firearms and not fill out forms or wait for background checks provided you have a valid CCW issused that is NCIS compliant.


I know Rural King won't let you purchase with just a CCW and neither does my local FFL guy even though we've been doing business 5+ years.

You still have to fill out the form. It's up to the seller to decide if they want to call it in yet. And yes I have. It saves the time of the phone call for NICS.

I've done it several times. As Ohiobellboy said, you still fill out the form, they just don't have to do a background check. They put your ccw info on the form instead of the approval code they would usually get from the background check. Since I've never had a delay, it really only saves a minute or two of the phone call.
