My buddy is building up his 1966 Mustang. He took one of "The Jack" lowers from sharps bros/ Spikes (not sure what the deal is on who actually is making them) and modified it to be his shift knob. @dougiemac maybe you could pass this along to your boys over there.

I'd be damned careful about ever driving through an anti-rights state. That's still technically a firearm (and you'd better believe the prosecutor would argue it), and in most anti states that's not stored in accordance with the law.

Drive through MD, NJ, NY, DE, CA, etc, and you could land your ass in jail.

And yeah, they are that crazy there.

I'll get this reposted on Spike's social media... very cool. Unless your buddy got one of the Jack lowers that Sharps made into novelty blanks and gave out to a very few people, then this would have been a very expensive gear shift knob.

Nope. It has been made inoperable. It is now just a piece of metal.

That's not going to make one goddamned bit of difference to a NJ cop. They have no problems arresting you even if you haven't broken the law.

Then you'll need to spend thousands of dollars to defend yourself....and maybe even get convicted.

Also, that ammo would net you 1.5 years in federal prison and a $10k fine (And you'd be a felon). It doesn't even matter if it's inert, the bullet has a "hollow nose", and the bullet is what's illegal to just drive around with, not loaded ammo.
