I knock on everything SalvageYeah man! Hey, I'll never knock an FVSR. I know a lot of people who run them and love them. I just happened to have a little more in the budget that day when I bought the 455.
Hey, at least I've tried to drink the kool aid. Multiple times, in fact.Truth. He really does.
I didn't say I'd go back to a Savage, just that I wouldn't knock someone else's. Lol.Hey, at least I've tried to drink the kool aid. Multiple times, in fact.

I’ve never been to a match before.@BangBang ^this
You know what they say, it's about the shooter, not the equipment.I’ve never been to a match before.
I’d probably get destroyed with my FV-SR and $80 Centerpoint scope.
I guess that’s true to an extent, but equipment definitely does matter. You know what they say, it's about the shooter, not the equipment.
All reactive targets. Max at 200 yds, maybe 300. Starting to run out of excusesI guess that’s true to an extent, but equipment definitely does matter.
I’ve never really shot at much paper other than when I’m adjusting my scope, so I have no idea how I’d do in a competition where I’m guessing everybody is trying for the smallest group at a certain distance?
I like shooting steel targets. I figure if I’m spending money on ammo I at least want to hear a little noise when I get a hit. LOL
I’ve gotten to the point that I can hit a 12” plate at 400 yards pretty consistently as long as there’s no wind. I don’t know if I could get out any farther than that because I don’t have anywhere I can shoot father than 400.
You can hang until someone shows up with a cz, or an anschutz....or a vudoo. And don’t forget decent glass.I’m gonna have to get out to a range M&G with y’all sometime for sure.
I’ll bring my $200 Savage FV-SR and at least TRY to hang with what you guys are doing.
Yeah, I know. You can hang until someone shows up with a cz, or an anschutz....or a vudoo.
Tell that to your NF marketing boys shooting the Anschutz with an ATACR up top who getting smoked by people with FVSR's and 10/22's topped with Simmons and PA scopes up top.You can hang until someone shows up with a cz, or an anschutz....or a vudoo. And don’t forget decent glass.
Meh, he’s an older guy and former marine. He likes going out to matches even if he doesn’t consistently win. He did win the cold bore challenge at the king of two miles this year. Some days you have it, some days you don’t. Your jealousy is showing lol.Tell that to your NF marketing boys shooting the Anschutz with an ATACR up top who getting smoked by people with FVSR's and 10/22's topped with Simmons and PA scopes up top.
No jealousy. Find it funny. You can have the top gear, but if you can't shoot or read wind, it don't matter.Meh, he’s an older guy and former marine. Well I guarantee you that dude can read the wind and shoot. But in my experience anyway reading wind and shooting especially long-distance is a little bit like baking bread. You can do something one time that is seemingly absolutely perfect and repeat it the next time with different results. Reading wind is kind of a black magic art in my opinion especially at long-range. The smartest thing you can do is use good quality equipment so you can at least eliminate those variables. Then you can just focus on the art of shooting. No jealousy. Find it funny. You can have the top gear, but if you can't shoot or read wind, it don't matter.
If you can hit something at 400 yards you already have an advantage over half the people that will be there that have never shot a .22 over 100 yards. All steel targets and will be a great time.I guess that’s true to an extent, but equipment definitely does matter.

It's gonna be my first time over 100 with the 455. I'm excited. I've got a couple more people I think are gonna make it too. It's gonna be a great time. @BangBang you better make it!If you can hit something at 400 yards you already have an advantage over half the people that will be there that have never shot a .22 over 100 yards.
