I'm wondering if I should just go with the 9mm upper now and scratch the 300blk.
I'd have good CQB home defense and easy install of suppressor not to mention the ammo is perfect for plinking and cost half as much. Hmmm

One of the advantages of 300blk is 95% parts compatibility. 9mm is a whole other ball of wax. Not saying that you shouldn't do it, just that it's a different ball game. Keep in mind, that there won't be much difference in overall length between the two either.

With the 9mm I'd go with the pistol setup till SBR paperwork was filed and approved and I think I'll do the same with 300. I like the interchangeability between 223 and 300 now thinking of the ammo I'd only be purchasing subs for 300 and could shoot whatever in 9 big difference in price per round however I think there's more up front for the 9 conversion I believe. I'm not building a long range AR so cost effective and fun factor suppressed are the top.

I've know the blowback gas on 300blk suppressed is very minimal but how's the blowback on the 9mm

both are pretty bad which I think is more due to the AR setup than anything else

for less blowback, I like 556 through a 762 can.
