I was taking a break a few minutes ago and was practicing dropping and inserting a magazine in the Ruger. There were several edges that continuously caused the mag to hang up. Enter the Dremel. I beveled the magwell and it made a huge difference. No snags, no hangups, much, much faster to re-seat a fresh magazine.

If you have one, this is a pretty necessary modification if it's a carry gun (and I'd imagine it is).

It's not pretty, but it works.

Those are sweet carry pieces. I screwed up and gave my LC9 to my best friend'ssister. The only two things I had against that gun was an awful trigger, which was fixed with the LC9S and I hated the fact that it had a magazine safety. I get the concept Someone starts to take your gun, drop the mag, kick it away and it can't be used against you. I just don't like it. It bugs me. Kinda like XD grip safeties.... Yuck....

I won't carry a gun with a magazine disconnect, but I love BHP's and 3rd Gen S&W DA/SA's. So, I remove the magazine disconnect from them.

A quick Google showed how to remove the magazine disconnect from a Ruger LC9.
