Yesterday the 9th District Circuit Court ruled that a U.S. citizen does NOT have the right to carry a firearm and that the 2nd Amendment does not protect the right to carry.
I've heard some say... "well that's California, it doesn't affect me." Well, I believe differently.
First, the 9th District Circuit Court presides over 9 states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. That's nearly 20% of the states in the Union. Combine that with a similar ruling that the federal courts upheld in NY, NJ and CT recently and we're looking at a wider sweeping erosion of our 2nd amendment rights.
I'm not fear mongering and saying that they are coming for your guns. That will probably never happen in our lifetime. However it is the continual erosion of our civil rights that eventually remove them entirely.
