Just curious What do prefer or run in your everyday AR the carpenter 158 or the 9310 bolt. Is there a difference in them if your running semi auto. Anyone ever had a failure out of one. What are your thoughts. Thanks
Yes I think so standard mil specIsn't 158 carpenter mil spec?
That looks nice. I read that S7 is the metal used in jack hammer bits. What are you running it in ? Carbine or MidI just ordered one of these. It is S7. We shall see how it runs

Mid 14.5. It was surprisingly gassy with my specwar. Ive already modded a gas block to cut gas down, but I figured inwould put this in it and tune the rifle to run both suppressend and unsuppressed. In its current gas port size its suppressed onlyThat looks nice. I read that S7 is the metal used in jack hammer bits. What are you running it in ? Carbine or Mid
Yup I’m the same too :Thanks for posting this @Red Dawn! I have been all over the place the last couple days hunting for a BCG for my upper build!
Did you reduce the port size on the block. You’d think a mid would’ve helped some even if the gas port is largerMid 14.5. It was surprisingly gassy with my specwar. I drilled and tapped the port in the gas block between the gas tube and barrel, then drilled stainless dog nose set screws with various port sizes. Went from 0.077” on the barrel to 0.055 or 0.052 I forget at the moment.Did you reduce the port size on the block. You’d think a mid would’ve helped some even if the gas port is larger

Oh its way less gassy now. Ive got it tuned down to the point it wont fully cycle unsuppressed. It shoots great. I just want to open it up a bit then hopefully use the adjustments on the bolt when I run it suppressedWow that’s a significant reduction for mid and it’s still gassy. This is 556 right

I sure did. Ejection direction didn't change one single inch across three settings and it was failing to fully eject every time and then on the fully closed setting it ran exactly like it already runs, perfect patterns and perfect reliability lol.I believe @Leshaire had that same Bootleg BCG. Of I remember correctly he had some issues out of it. I could be wrong though?

Really? Have they dried up?
