    Mama said OK........

I'm working on making space (in my part-time studio) and time for the pic. I've been just too busy lately.

    Mama said OK........

I have an EoTech EXPS2-0 on my AR with an EoTech G33.STS magnifier behind it. This is, in my opinion, a fantastic combination. Swing the magnifier out of the way for in-close fast target acquisition or swing the magnifier up behind the sight for fairly precise sighting out to 300 yards or so...

    Camper range

I'd bet that you could easily recover the BBs with a simple backstop and then you could use them over and over again. There's not even a cost for powder and primers. :P

    Recommendations for a powder scale

That scale should do nicely, Dave. What you might want to find is a couple of test weights that are in the range of what you'll actually be measuring in the future. Since you probably won't find laboratory weights calibrated for grains, the math you want to use is: 500mg (1/2 gram) =...

    I want a Zip gun!

When our kids were growing up through those times I sometimes made the mistake of telling them how stupid some of the things I did were when I was their age. I think it just taught them some more goofy things to do that they hadn't thought of. At least they are grown and healthy today.

    I want a Zip gun!

When I was very young and much stupider than now, I and my friends used to have battles with Coke-bottle cannons. We'd light a standard firecracker and toss it into the bottle and then quickly stuff a rock into the neck of the bottle and point it - sometimes at another in the group...

Any S&W revolver guys out there?

My Glock 19 is the best pistol that I have when it comes to naturally fitting to my hand and being the easiest pistol that I have to shoot well. It may not be the most accurate pistol that I have, but it's plenty accurate for its intended purpose. I still like my old Smith & Wesson .357 Combat...

    Works for me!

What I want to know, Muk, is why all the holsters are in plastic containers. That's kinda like having plastic seat covers on the sofa to me..... :P

    Illinois reciprocity?

The Illinois program also calls for a 16-hour class to get a concealed carry permit. I don't ever expect to be able to concealed (or open) carry legally in Illinois, but I really be happy if they would relax the requirements for transporting firearms in their state. I doubt they will ever...

    Glow paint???

I know that Trijicon uses tritium-filled glass inserts for their night sights. Does anyone know if this material is available to us hobbyists to install in sights? I'm thinking that if we could buy just the inserts from Trijicon, maybe we could install them in holes we would drill in our own...

POLL: When will the ammo shortage end?

I went to a Fleet Farm today. There's tons of .22 ammo there and even a couple dozen boxes of .223 ammo (two American brands). I didn't check the pistol ammo because they have it locked up out of sight and I was short on time.

    Problem solved!

Could ya please give us some info on the lacquer stick? I'm interested because it sounds like there may be a family of markers I'd be interested in for several types of projects.

    D Day 6 June 1944

I don't know if my Dad was part of the D-Day invasion, but I do know that as a young officer he was one of the very first Americans to find the Dachau concentration camp and all its still-living inhabitants that were so bad off that they could not just be released. We had to take care of them.

    Recommendations for a powder scale

Quite honestly, I think that a digital would be the best choice for you by far. It would be far easier to make a mistake using a balance beam scale than a digital scale. As far as accuracy is concerned, if the zero of my Pact scale is steady over time, the accuracy (measured using NBS Class...

    Recommendations for a powder scale

While the scale you link to is probably a very good beam balance scale, you will find in short order that a beam balance scale is not ideal for the task. In the "olden days", they were all we had available. However, measuring an unknown value is an extremely tedious process with beam balance...
