I tried one of the DIY kits to mold the plugs to your ears. I think I followed the instructions pretty closely but they didn't work well for me. Always wanted the custom fit that they do at the gun shows just haven't taken the time or spent the money yet.

Thanks for posting. Helps drive the point home that we can't be too safe when enjoying our sport. I have a 5.45 AR and only use metal mags for it. All my 5.56 mags are plastic to try to make sure I don't mix the two up.

I've got a Vortex Strikefire on my 5.45 AR. Works great. Even with a bump fire stock it holds zero.
