    AR-9

Ive been going back and forth between an AR platform vs a Evo or MPX. I am going with an AR so that the controls are all the same and I can start to build it piece by piece as money allows and waiting for sales. I also want to be able to put in for the SBR as soon as I get the lower so I can...

    AR-9

Don't really have one. I don't mind spending money for quality, but I do need to keep it reasonable.

    AR-9

I want to start planning my AR-9. I'm going to start with a pistol build and send the paperwork in for the SBR shortly after getting the lower. For those that have one, what are some things I need to look out for when I'm picking components? I do know I want it to use glock mags and probably...

    How does it feel different?

Then that makes sense to go that route. I don't think the price is unreasonable and it sounds like it would be useful for you for sure.

    300 blackout is stupid.

I am really really close to going this route over .300

I guess if your removing the buffer tube often it may be worth it but I don't see the need since staking isn't hard and I doubt I'll have to remove my buffer tube anytime soon.

    Plastic fantastic.

I was young and needed the money But never again

    Plastic fantastic.

It's easier to do when you have no intention of selling the guns too.

    Plastic fantastic.

Dremel for most of it to remove material and then sandpaper wrapped around a sharpie to finish it. This is what the one on my 43 looks like

    Plastic fantastic.

It's not perfect, and the front undercut needs a little work but really isn't needed anyway. The trigger guard is still plenty sturdy and I can't make it bend or anything. But that little extra room for the middle finger under the trigger guard is great. @Rwjeter did his too and he seems to like...

    Plastic fantastic.

That's smart. If you do decide to keep it then I would recommend doing it. It seriously takes like 10 minutes with a dremel and I kicked myself for not doing it sooner.

    Plastic fantastic.

If you just need a little room on the grip a trigger guard undercut is super easy and makes a huge difference.

    Polymer 80 "Glock"

I want to get one to put on a G34 or 17L just to be obnoxious

    Polymer 80 "Glock"

Shut up with that logic and reasoning.

    Polymer 80 "Glock"

That's the one I have. It seems well built.

    Polymer 80 "Glock"

That's part of the reason I've thought about getting one. That and it's like a useful thread protector. From what I understand a G19 with that comp will fit in a G34 holster

    Polymer 80 "Glock"

What made you decide to buy one?
  19. AtlMedic

    Polymer 80 "Glock"

@Leshaire how do you like that comp?
  20. AtlMedic

    300 blackout is stupid.

I did not realize that. I have been going back and forth on a .300 blk for deer hunting but a lot of the ballistics don't leave me too confident in humane kills. I know it's been done, but I need to research ammo selection more before I dive in.
