i got some of those i think. the ones with the pink followers? they work just fine. i couldn't bring myself to buy more when they offered the pink lip stenciled mags...that was just too much for me lol. if i recall, they were $6 apiece and a good deal imo.

i've got a mid may form 4 out so i feel ya. at last check, they were processing mid aprils. i'm probably looking at valentine's day to get my can.

Pro mags are total dogshit. I've had pretty good luck with everything else.

i use the plastic zip ties to attach a flash light to my AR. super cheap and decently effective...also allows for quick removal (with knife or heavy duty scissors) when you don't want to carry the extra weight. you can also use duct tape but it looks even worse.

Tommy's belts are also first class. I've owned one for 4 and 1/2 years now wearing it every day. It looks just as good as the day I got it.

are we sure that this isn't just a move to consolidate sub-entities into one company and possibly one location? i remember reading a while back that DD was expanding their Black Creek facility and closing down the Ridgeland facility. could this be related?

me too. no need for a QD mount unless your don't like the QRP knob. i have unattached and reattached my aimpoint pro three times without loss of zero.

i like and own both - well i own multiple ARs but only one tavor. the AR is great for ergonomics and ease of customization. if i were in a war, i would take the tavor all day, everyday over a stock colt m4. actually, my order of preference in a war is tavor then ak then ar.

i would only get the carbine length if you're trying to "clone" a certain look or if the barrel in that gas length is significantly cheaper. on some of my builds i prefer the skinny CAR hand guards versus the fatter M4 set. these usually are difficult if not impossible to find in midlength...

The length of the gas system is just one factor in the recoil equation (gas port size on the barrel, buffer weight, ammo used, etc.) but I usually prefer a mid length setup versus carbine for 14.5"+ barrels. Since you talked about sight radius and gas systems, I assume you're going with a FSB...

i'm also looking at maybe putting tritium inserts into my iron sights for low light situations.

i've been thinking the same but haven't gone there yet. i probably will keep one sbr with red dot but i've been thinking of irons for the rest.

did you try it from a rest? maybe you just suck.
