my sbr 9mm is convertible to 5.56 in about a minute. it uses colt mags. they don't make a mag well insert for a standard ar-15 lower than will accept Glock mags to my knowledge. I don't care about looks either.

your testing criteria are too lax. your ammo will perform differently in a 10+ hour dead body vs. a <6 six hour dead body. clearly you don't value your self-defense prep.

I shot a small one in the hind quarters and he turned to charge me. 6.8 SPC to the head ended that one pretty quick. I personally would only hunt from the ground with a high-powered semi-auto rifle with a 15+ round magazine but maybe I'm a pansy.

In this price range, I have owned the Jard Single Stage, the CMC (single stage), and the G2S (two stage). He wants a single stage, so the G2S is out even though it's an amazing trigger for the money. Of the Jard and CMC, I liked the CMC more.

Never had problems with their 9mm ammo and I've shot a metric fuck ton of it through my 9mm AR. Their .223 - on the other hand - can have issues especially with the reman stuff. Exhibit A: recall notice where I had to check each box of the 1500 rounds I bought from them for certain lot...

I have an upper with the Battle Tested Equipment adjustable gas block. For the money, it's nice although it takes two different sized hex keys to adjust and lock.

but, in my internet research, for what that's worth, a subsonic 300 bullet that expands into petals works more like a broad tip arrow. if I'm hunting with a firearm, I want the round to cause massive tissue damage due to hydrostatic shock and drop my future meal in its tracks. not saying that...

I have a 300 sbr and here are some of my takeaways and observations. I didn't hide the suppressor under the hand guard. my can is a sico SpecWar 762 which has a collar that needs to be turned to secure. so, unless there was a gap in the the rail/hand guard, I wouldn't be able to secure the can...
