    300 blackout is stupid.

would the 6.5 suppress worth a damn? also, looking at the ballistic data it seems that you'll need an 18 to 22" barrel to get the expected performance out of the 6.5 grendel round. with a can hanging off the end, that's going to be quite the setup.

Primary weapons system ratchet castle nut

i stake all of my end plates because if it comes loose you'll have problems. having said that - i have a couple of these ratcheting sets and they seem to work well. pws makes quality stuff so i have peace of mind that they won't loosen. also, i like to change out my setup to a fixed stock...

    300 blackout is stupid.

my 300 sbr suppressed is quieter than my 9mm sbr suppressed. if low db's are your absolute goal then 220 gr 300 can be worth the 2 to 3x cost vs 147 gr 9mm. specs on my dubious comparison: 300 sbr ar 9" barrel with a specwar 762 shooting 220 grain ozark ordnance 9mm sbr ar 5.5" barrel with a...

    300 blackout is stupid.

other than being very quiet at the range, i still haven't discovered a practical use for 300 subs. sure, in a self-defense situation they're about like a pistol-caliber carbine (45ish?), but i'd much rather have 300 supers (or something faster) if my ass was truly on the line. with supers, you...

    Bravo Company PNT Trigger

i've tried one and it's about the same (in my subjective opinion) as an ALG QMS trigger. i didn't have any measurement/trigger gauges but they "seemed" just alike.

    Long Range Muzzle Device

i had an asr brake on a 5.56 sbr 7.5" (for a specwar 762). that one wasn't so much a conversation starter as a conversation ender. that setup could clear a public range in about five minutes. gave me migraines, though...

    Long Range Muzzle Device

some good posts here... the pws fsc 556 is a very good recoil mitigation device and will keep the rifle very level through long/fast shooting strings. very loud though... for me, it depends on the caliber. 556 is loud and a good recoil-mitigating brake only adds to the effect. i had a...

New .22 Nosler Cartridge for AR Platform

i don't want to stifle innovation with my negativity but i'm still scratching my head "why" on this one. i get that they're trying to maximize a 22 caliber projectile out of an ar-15 magwell but like laufen said 5.56/223 handles most of my applications pretty well. if i need a flatter...

    POI Shift Suppressed

both of my specwars shoot low and to the left (penis joke in there somewhere) vs. non-suppressed zero. my solution? i determine which rifles i want to shoot suppressed only and zero to the suppressed position.

    POI Shift Suppressed

i get pretty significant poi shift out of my specwar 556 and 762. i don't think these cans were designed with poi shift minimization in mind.

    KelTech Bullpup

they'll make 6 of the gen 1s before releasing the gen 2s in two years. seems to me they like to design more than they like to build.

    glock magazine block for ar15

would definitely like more details on this ... seems like a good idea, but does the bolt hold open after the last round? what's the install / removal process? what's the price? i'm sure there will be more of these out in the future.

What is the appeal of the Ruger Charger?

great varmint setup when driving the property in a truck or suv. if you see an armadillo or other undesired critter, this thing deploys out of a window pretty quickly.
