Precision Applications, LLC will be holding a Residential Room Clearing & Response to Active Shooter Level 3 course on December 7-8 at Arena Training Facility in Blakely GA.

The main focus of the Level 3 course is Live-Fire drills conducted in a Shoothouse. We will conduct 1- and 2-man drills using live-fire in the Shoothouse.

The Level 1 and Level 2 courses are prerequisites to this course. If you have taken those courses from us before, you’re good to go. If not, we have the upcoming courses on the training calendar, all being held in Powder Springs GA:

Level 1, training and walk-throughs:
July 27-28
and
September 14-15

Level 2, Force-on-Force using Simunitions:
August 24-25
and
October 26-27

The Level 3 course is limited to 12 students. The cost of the course is $800, to be paid in full to guarantee your slot. You can pay via cash, check, money order, or PayPal (student covers the 3.5% PayPal transaction fee).

If you wish to sign up for two or more courses at the same time, you will receive a 10% discount off of the total. Please contact me if you wish more information on the Level 1 and Level 2 courses.

The Level 3 course will cover:
-1 and 2 person tactics and techniques
-Use of cover vs concealment
-Clearing and covering rooms and hallways
-ID’ing a threat
-Lowlight techniques, covering handguns and long guns, as well as weapon-mounted lights and handheld lights
-Use of handguns as well as long guns
-Improving your home defensively
-Communicating with first responders
-Responding to an Active Shooter
-Use of tourniquets

Gear list:
-Handgun with holster
-Reloading devices (magazines or speedloaders)
-400 rounds handgun ammunition
-Handheld light, even if a WML is used
-Carbine with sling and light. This is optional, you’re welcome to run handgun only
-400 rounds carbine ammunition, 5.56/.223 and .300Blk only
-Eye and ear protection, to include clear/amber eye protection for the Lowlight portion
-A plastic/rubber (or similar) training pistol, or a Blade Tech training barrel. If you wish to use an AR for walk-throughs, you will need a Blade Tech training BCG. For other types of firearms, please contact me so we can work out a way to render it safe for the appropriate portions of the course.
-Personal equipment and armor is up to the individual
*Note on ammunition: no steel core, steel jacketed, incendiary, or tracer rounds permitted

We will be using 5 different training venues, including the Shoothouse. When you’re not in the Shoothouse, you will be training in 3 different residential layouts, and one additional venue that mimics commercial-style properties for Active Shooter.

Saturday will be a long day; we will start at 8am and continue all day, with Lowlight training after dark. We will take breaks for lunch and dinner. Sunday will be a shorter day, with training going straight through lunch and ending by 2pm. Bring snacks and water.

If you wish to lodge in the cabins on Arena Training Facility, reservations can be made at https://www.arenatrainingfacility.com/events-1/precision-application-cabins. The cabins sleep 2 people in single beds and are $100/night. There are a limited number or hotels in Blakely GA. Dothan AL is the nearest decent-sized town at approximately 36 miles away.
