Anyone used 9mm snake shot? With deer season approaching I have been thinking of carrying some. It would go into my Glock 19.

Anyone ever used it? I've heard mixed reviews on reliability. I'm not super concerned about it cycling the action but I would like if it did.

I doubt that it would. The .45ACP snakeshot loads wouldn't cycle any handgun I tried them in. I used the .38/.357 loads instead and carried a revolver. Eventually, I quit doing that and carried a .22LR handgun instead. You don't have to get near as close with that as you do with the snakeshot handgun loads.

A .357 is on the list but I won't be able to get one by deer season this year. I'm fine with having to manually cycle the action if I have to though since I probably won't need to make a quick follow up shot and in that situation racking the slide won't take too long.

I hunt south GA so snakes stay active a good bit into deer season. I really want a nice 4" S&W 686 but it isn't a cheap gun so it will be next year before I can afford one. Luckily my wife is onboard with getting one since we go out on the farm a good but with my son and she wants me to have something for snakes.

Never shot any of it, but I think I might have some in 9mm that you are welcome to if I can find it. I know I have some but I can't remember if it's 9 or 45 that I have.

I will look for it in a little bit. I'm pretty sure it is 9mm but it might be 45. I can't remember. I've had it laying around for probably 10 years now.
